This 6 day course is for those individuals who wish to enter the security profession as a personal protection specialist. The course will combine classroom lectures, practical field exercises and live fire range drills. This course centers on providing the student the basic understanding of a protective detail, the ability to help identify threats and to safeguard the principle through both planning and immediate action. Training days will usually last 8 hours, with occasional evening activities. Included in the course is the Texas Department of Public Safety certification for Commissioned Security Officer, and Personal Protection Officer. Both of these licenses are required if you wish to work in the state of Texas in a Executive Protection capacity. The course ends with a final field exercise with students applying all that they have learned during the course. The final exercise is a conducted in the Dallas area.

- M4 rifle ( If you do not posses one, the school can provide one for the duration of the course for an additional $75.)
- Shotgun (if you do not posses one, the school can provide one for the duration of the course for an additional $25)
- Pen and Paper
- Comfortable Clothes
- Tactical flashlight
- Inclement weather clothing
- 500 rounds of pistol ammunition
- 300 rounds of 5.56 ammunition
- 100 rounds of 7.62 x 39 ammunition
- 100 rounds of 12 gauge bird shot
If you are unable to purchase the required ammunition prior to the course, please contact our office and we will provide your ammunition for you at the current cost.
