The TCPS Personal Protection Officers Training (Level lV) is a fifteen hour course. At the conclusion of the course, you will receive your Certificate of Completion to apply for your Personal Protection Authorization from the Texas Department of Public Safety. It is a prerequisite that you have completed the Commissioned Security Officer course prior to applying to the state for you Personal Protection Liccennse. You may attend this course even if you have not done so, but it is highly recommended. You will also receive, at no additional charge, your Certification to carry Oleoresin Capsicum (Pepper Spray). If you wear contact lenses you will need to bring glasses for the OC portion of the training.
